August 3 August 6

Welcome to the NWMAF’s annual conference: the most inclusive, comprehensive, women-led event for practitioners of martial arts, Empowerment Self-Defense, and the healing arts!

August 3: Self-Defense Instructors Conference (SDIC) – Professional development content for aspiring and experienced self-defense instructors.

August 4-6: RISE – Classes, workouts, and workshops from a variety of traditions and practices (martial arts, healing arts, and self-defense), plus a Teen track for participants ages 12-18.

August 6: SUPER SATURDAY – Classes open to ALL genders and ages 12+. Saturday evening culminates in our members’ performance showcase, plus a raffle and expo!

Women (cis and trans) and gender nonbinary/nonconforming practitioners ages 12+ are invited to attend the entire NWMAF Conference or just Super Saturday. Super Saturday is open to EVERYONE.

The NWMAF requires proof of vaccination for all participants.

Participants must show a Covid vaccination card or electronic record of vaccination upon check-in at the conference.

Read our full COVID policy here.

Want to stay on campus?

Daemen College has on-campus rooms available during the Conference.

All rooms are single (one twin bed) and grouped in a suite of 4 with a shared common area and kitchen, and 2 shared bathrooms. Up to 4 people are allowed per suite, with mixed genders permitted within the same family.

Children under 18 will need to room in a suite with their legal guardian or a parent-approved chaperon specified on this registration form. Please note switching rooms will not be permitted.

A single room in a suite is $45 per night.

If you wish to stay in a half-occupancy suite (same arrangement but only 2 people total per suite so you aren’t sharing a bathroom), it’s $55 per night.
