Judo Games II
August 4 @ 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM EDT
Judo Games is based on the original system developed by Sid Kelly, 8th-degree Black belt Judo. Two of the issues that keep students from trying Judo is to get the student used to body contact, without the usual fear of falling. This is what often keeps beginners from starting Judo, and certainly keeps other martial artists from trying Judo.
These games provide a break from the traditional Judo class for the advanced student.
Everyone also gets a good workout as a group instead of the inevitable separation in rank and skill-sets that occur in most traditional Judo classes. You can take these classes in any order, or repeat them. Participants who have never tried Judo will be playing basic Judo by the end of each session.
BRING: a full Water bottle is important and a towel if desired.
WEAR: come in your own martial arts uniforms with a rank belt if you want, or loose pants and long sleeve sweatshirts (NO zippers). Must come in slippers or shoes, and then you will be barefoot on the mat.
